Central Geelong is growing and evolving, and the way people travel to and within the city needs to change too.
For the next 100 days, we are seeking community views on transport and parking options within the central Geelong precinct via an [url link=”” text=”online survey”]

Whether you are a resident, commuter, trader, shopper, business owner or visitor to central Geelong, we want to hear from you!

This consultation follows the release of a [url link=”” text=”discussion paper”] exploring the present and future parking needs in the central Geelong precinct. With almost nine in ten commuters currently travelling to central Geelong by car, as well as rapid population growth throughout the Greater Geelong region, it is critical we get the balance right to create a healthy, vibrant and accessible city for all of us to enjoy.

There will also be opportunities for the community to provide feedback at a number of public events and locations throughout the Greater Geelong region between now and 3 April 2019, which will ensure that holiday makers and visitors get to have their say too. This will include AFL fans attending the first Geelong Cats home game against Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 30 March 2019.

Following this intensive consultation period, the City of Greater Geelong will review public feedback and develop a draft Central Geelong Car Parking Strategy, which will be released for further consultation in 2019.
